Montandor

SUSTAINABILITY

Distribution built for the long term.

Montandor has operated since 1951 in a trade measured in decades, not in quarters. Our approach to sustainability follows the same logic: less noise, more consistency, and anticipating European regulatory programmes before they become constraints. This page documents where we stand, what is coming, and what we are changing.

01

Three operating principles, not a statement.

Measure before we announce.

Before we communicate a commitment, we want data. Our internal infrastructure already measures pallet volumes, shipping lead-times and energy flows. We are progressively extending this measurement to Scope 1, 2 and 3 environmental indicators so that we can steer what we want to reduce.

Anticipate the regulation.

The European 2026-2030 calendar will reshape B2B distribution: mandatory electronic invoicing, digital product passport, green taxonomy, due diligence, enriched 2D barcodes. Rather than suffer the change, we prepare upstream: our ERP, product master data and supply chain are in continuous transition to absorb these obligations without service disruption.

Pick durable partners.

Our partner factories in Asia are selected on criteria that include social and environmental compliance and material traceability. We hold the same standards across our European carriers and logistics providers. The EU due-diligence directive we have been anticipating since 2024 obliges us to formalise this selection.

02

Six European obligations we are preparing now.

The European Union is rolling out a regulatory framework that will transform distribution by 2030. We track it and we prepare for it actively. Here are the six most structuring programmes for our business.

DEADLINE 2026 · 2027

Mandatory B2B electronic invoicing (France)

Mandatory reception from 1 September 2026; mandatory emission from 1 September 2027 for large companies and mid-caps. We are progressively replacing legacy PDF and EDI flows with a Factur-X / EN 16931 compliant format and we are selecting a certified PDP. Integration with our Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central ERP is under way; the first bidirectional tests are scheduled for H2 2026, ahead of the deadline.

DEADLINE 2027

GS1 Digital Link and 2D barcodes

Progressive transition from EAN-13 to enriched GS1 QR codes. The move to 2D codes lets a Securit product on a restaurateur's counter expose its data sheet, material declaration, warranty and end-of-life information in a single scan. We are structuring our product master data to carry this information deterministically, and we are aligning with our partner factories to embed these markings in production from 2027.

DEADLINE 2027 · 2030

Digital Product Passport (DPP, ESPR regulation)

First rollout 2027 on batteries, textiles, plastics. Progressive extension to non-food products by 2030. The DPP will require, per product category, a consultable digital dossier covering material composition, origin traceability, repair and end-of-life options. We are identifying the Securit categories that fall in first — LED displays, food warmers, lamps — and we are structuring supplier data accordingly.

FIRST REPORTING 2026

CSRD — European sustainability reporting

While Montandor — as an Andorran mid-sized entity — does not fall in the direct CSRD scope, our reseller customers increasingly do. We are structuring our ESG data collection to feed their reports without friction: estimated Scope 1+2+3 emissions, recycled material rates, recyclable packaging share, social data across our supplier chain. The first internal report is expected in Q3 2026.

TRANSPOSITION 2026 · 2027

European due-diligence directive (CSDDD)

The directive requires companies and their partners to map social, environmental and human-rights risks across the value chain. Since 2024, we have been formalising our Asia supplier policy: social, environmental and customs-compliance selection criteria. On-site audits are run with an independent third party; consolidated results will feed the annual report from 2027.

IN FORCE · EXPANDING

French extended producer responsibility and circular economy

Montandor is already a registered unique identifier (IDU) with Citeo (household packaging), Screlec (batteries) and Lucid (Germany). For LED illuminated displays and decorative lamps, we are tracking the development of the professional WEEE channel and preparing the additional registration as soon as the scope is confirmed. Our IDU appears at the foot of every invoice, on every package and in our legal notices.

03

First public indicators.

We will publish an annual impact report starting with fiscal year 2025 (release Q3 2026). In the meantime, we share a few indicators already collected and tracked in our internal BI dashboard. Figures below are pending final validation and will be updated in the next review of this page.

Shipments per reseller order

1,4

vs 1.9 in 2024 · 2027 target: 1.2

Our long-stock commitment reduces express reorders and split deliveries.

Truck fill rate

84 %

vs 76% in 2024 · 2027 target: 90%

Optimised from our main Grisolles warehouse with our carrier partners.

Recyclable product packaging

78 %

2027 target: 95%

100% on tertiary packaging (pallets, films); progressive coverage on primary packaging as ranges renew.

Product life span

5-10 years

by category

LED display: 5+ years in daily service. Leather menu card: 10 years. A product that lasts is not replaced.

04

We work on these topics continuously.

Sustainability is not a one-off project; it is a continuous workstream integrated into our operations. Here are some ongoing programmes not yet publicly visible, which we document here so our partners are aware.

Unified ERP and data

Our ERP progressively centralises every dataset required for ESG reporting and CSRD/CSDDD compliance. The multi-country rollout has been driven internally since 2024.

Asia supplier audits

Strengthened on-site social and environmental audits, in partnership with an independent firm. 2027 target coverage: 100% of suppliers representing more than 1% of our annual sourcing.

Packaging transition

Progressive reduction of plastic in product packaging, in coordination with our partner factories. 2027 target: elimination of expanded polystyrene and migration to FSC-certified cardboard across 100% of references.

Internal mobility

Our Andorra / France / Spain teams travel little. For trade shows, we prioritise rail whenever the schedule allows.

Digital sobriety

Our websites are designed to minimise their footprint: optimised images, no heavy tracking, no advertising cookies, European hosting, and a target Lighthouse Performance score above 95.

Voluntary commitments under review.

We are currently evaluating membership in the UN Global Compact, ADEME ACT (Assessing Low-Carbon Transition) and ISO 14001 certification. No symbolic membership without prior operational preparation — that is our rule. Updates published as decisions are taken.
